People’s Postcode Lottery Players support school holiday activities

best

Greenbank Sports Academy has received a funding boost thanks to players of a charity lottery.

We were awarded £2330 by People’s Postcode Trust, a grant-giving charity, funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

The organisation has used the money to purchase equipment and as a contribution towards staff costs for school holiday activities for disabled children.

School holiday activities take place at Greenbank Sports Academy, every half term and during Easter and Summer Holidays.

Greenbank Sports Development Co-ordinator Mark Palmer said “It is fantastic to secure the support of People’s Postcode Trust – this grant means that we can offer a range of sports activities, using appropriate equipment”.

People’s Postcode Lottery is a charity lottery, where players play with their postcodes to win cash prizes while raising money for good causes. As a charity lottery, 45p from every £2 ticket goes to support charities and good causes across England, Scotland and Wales, including People’s Postcode Trust. People’s Postcode Lottery believes in supporting local communities so the money raised stays local to players.
