Miss England Visit

Miss England visits to present Marcus with his new chair

Miss England winner, Natasha Hemmings, visited us on 4th November to present a new Power Football chair to Marcus Harrison, as he took part in a power hockey training session.

Marcus has attended Greenbank’s power hockey club since it began in 2000. As an experienced player of Power Hockey, he has developed and adapted his electric wheelchair skills in order to play Power Football.

He currently represents both West Bromwich and England as a Power Football player. The new power chair will enable Marcus to train more frequently, helping him reach his potential as an elite sportsman.

Marcus is pictured with his new power football chair which has been funded by the money raised through Miss England for the Variety Children’s Charity

Miss England was crowned on the 14th of August, and is recognised for her dedication to charitable work. Natasha said:

“I want to say a massive thank you to all those involved in Miss England for raising money for Variety Children’s Charity. We are making a difference.”

She will represent England in the 2015 Miss World Championship in China this December.

The power hockey club runs every Wednesday 5 to 6pm . New disabled players welcome.
