Men’s GB Wheelchair Basketball squad announced for London 2012

Congratulations to the 12 Wheelchair Basketball players who have been selected to represent GB at the forthcoming Paralympic Games in London. We are delighted for local players Abdi Jama, Ade Orogbemi, Dan Highcock and Jon Pollock, who regularly train at Greenbank Sports Academy.

Primary Panathlon Challenge at Greenbank

Greenbank Sports Academy will host the Merseyside Primary Panathlon Challenge on Wednesday 13 June.

The Panathlon Challenge offers the chance for young disabled people with a range of abilities to get involved in a variety sports.

Over 3,000 disabled young people are expected to be competing in 50 different sporting events across the country this year. 200 Young Leaders as Panathlon Officials have been trained and a further 100 coaches are qualifying with various sporting body qualifications.
