Update Tuesday 18 May 2021, 3.06pm

Whilst we have been closed due to lockdowns over the last year, we have taken the chance to update the facilities at Greenbank Sports Academy. We are continuing with these refurbishments and so remain closed whilst we complete them. We would like to thank our customers for their patience while this work is ongoing, and let you know that we are very much looking forward to reopening our doors to you soon and welcoming back all our existing and new customers to our 21st century Greenbank Sports Academy, Conference Centre and Time Out Café.

Update Friday 3 July 2.27pm

We hope that you and your families are staying safe and well.

In line with government instructions, we must remain closed until further notice. We would like to thank all our members, customers and participants who have responded to our Greenbank Lockdown survey. This really helped us to understand the needs of our service users.

Time Out Café Bar

It is with the deepest regret that we have to keep the Time Out café closed for the foreseeable future.

In these unprecedented times the economic reality of running the café would put the entire Greenbank Charity at risk.

We are working together with partners as we plan for a safe reopening for the sports operations. We ask all our customers to be patient as we plan a safe reopening.

We have taken the following steps in regard to the management of bookings and gym memberships up to 1 September.

Sports Hall and Private Hire Bookings

Any deposits for bookings between 20 March until we reopen are able to be reclaimed. To request a refund please fill in our Refund Request Form online. Any refunds will be processed within 4 weeks of receiving request.

Gym Memberships

We have frozen all active gym memberships as of the 20 March 2020 for the entirety of the closure including not drawing down any direct debit membership payments.

As part of our reopening process we are updating all customer details so that we can strengthen our leisure and booking management information system to enable us to offer improved services to you. We are asking that all gym members update their details using the Gym Membership Details Update form.

We appreciate that this has been, and will continue to be, a difficult time for many in our community. A number of support systems have been put in place across the community to help you but please feel free to email us on or direct message us on twitter or facebook if we can help in anyway or signpost you to further support.

We thank you for your support and patience during these uncertain times. We will continue to put further updates and news on our website and social media feeds. If you have any question you can contact us on
