Deaf Cricket Tournament 2018

A Deaf Cricket Tournament was organised on 21st June, as part of Greenbank’s event programme for schools.

Approximately fifty children, from Thorn Grove, Knotty Ash, Knowsley Central, Pendle Vale, Wigan and Halton schools, took part in the event, which for some was their first experience of competition.

Julie Metcalfe Lead Teacher of the Deaf and Teacher for Visual Impairment at Halton Borough Council said:

“Thank you again for another great day the children really enjoyed themselves”.

Tournament organiser James Dixon added:

“Thanks to Alder Cricket Club for providing the venue, to our officials who organised the tournament so well and Panathlon for funding the medals, certificates and staff.”
