DESCRIPTION:Power hockey is a sport that’s played in electric wheelchairs
  with people (who often have cerebral palsy or Duchenne’s Muscular Dystr
 ophy - two life-limiting conditions) chasing after a hockey-size ball and 
 physical contact is permitted.\nPeople of any age play the game with their
  non-disabled friends\, coaches and siblings and often\, because disabled 
 people use an electric wheelchair daily\, they are much better players\, w
 hich is a great way to boost self-esteem and confidence.\nPower Hockey giv
 es severely disabled people and those with limited mobility an opportunity
  to play a fast\, contact sport for the first time. The sport is currently
  being developed in the Merseyside area\, but the plan is to develop the g
 ame into a national/international sport.\n\nWho is this aimed at?\nAimed a
 t disabled people of age 8+ who come from across the City Region .\n\nRequ
 irements\nHoist is provided but participants are required to bring there o
 wn sling of the correct size.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n
