Merseyside Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Schools 5-a-side Football Tournament
Greenbank Sports Academy was the venue, for pupils from 8 Merseyside schools, to take part in 5-a-side football tournament on 23 January.
The tournament, which was organised by Liverpool County FA (LCFA), was split into 2 age groups; Key stage 3 (age 11 – 14) and key stage 4 (age 14 – 16).
The key stage 3 tournament involved 8 teams who were split into 2 groups, with the winner of each group playing in the final.
3 teams from key stage 4 took part with first place awarded to the best performing team.
Mark Horlick, LCFA Disability Football Development Officer commented “It’s fantastic to have the support of the schools, in making days like today possible. All of the young people involved have had a great time and really enjoyed the chance to play against other schools from the area.”
Congratulations to players from Alt Bridge School, Huyton who won both the key stage 3 and 4 events.
