The 2016 Open Boccia Tournament, which attracted 60 competitors from across the country, took place at Greenbank Sports Academy on 2nd October.
Organiser Steve Sullivan commented:
“The standard of play has been high, with fair play demonstrated throughout, which is testament to the hard work of players, coaches and support staff in preparing for the event”
I would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to volunteers and referees who did an excellent job to help the tournament run smoothly and professionally.”
He added:
“Boccia is a priority development sport at the Academy and have organised a team event for disabled players only. The 2017 Boccia Tournament will take place on Sunday 22nd January and the closing date for entries is 13th January.”
