As part of our work with local schools, sport development staff organised a Key Stage 4 (for pupils aged 14 to 16) Basketball Tournament involving eight Merseyside teams on 23 March.

Choices Merseyside Sport Development Officer Steve Sullivan said;

“This was a highly competitive tournament – throughout the day all of the teams demonstrated the skills acquired as a result of the coaching they had received in school.

A special thank you to all officials and volunteers from Liverpool John Moores University and Greenbank College for making this such a successful event and to Felicity Molloy for organising the day.”

Congratulations to all of teams who took part and especially Novices winners Broadgreen International School, Intermediate winners West Kirby Residential School and Advanced winners Clare Mount School (A).

The most improved team in the competition were Redbridge High School (Novice section).
