Panathlon Deaf Football Tournament 2017

Forty-one children from five schools across Merseyside took part in the Panathlon Deaf Football Tournament, on 30th November 2017, at Greenbank Sports Academy.

Congratulations to Knotty Ash School’s A team, who were the winners in the Primary age category, after beating the Halton schools team 1 – 0, in a fiercely fought final.

Well done also to Alt Bridge A, who beat Wigan with the same score line in the Secondary age category.

Event organiser James Dixon said:

“I’m delighted with the number of deaf participants at today’s event.”

Julie Metcalfe, Lead Teacher for Hearing impairment at Halton Borough Council added:

“We had a fantastic time and all the children loved it and cannot wait for next games tournament.”
