Panathlon Schools Boccia and Football Tournament
Thanks to funding from Panathlon Challenge, Greenbank Sports Academy was able to organise a Boccia and Football Tournament for 18 deaf children on 30th January.
Four teams took part from Knotty Ash Primary School, together with a team of children representing Wirral schools, to create a day of exciting competition for all of the children.
Tournament organiser and UK Deaf Sport Ambassador James Dixon said:
“It’s so important that deaf children have the opportunity to participate in competitive sport. The atmosphere has been great and everyone has had a fantastic day.”
Congratulations to Knotty Ash A who won the boccia tournament, beating Knotty Ash B 6 v 0 in the final.
Knotty Ash A also won the football, remaining unbeaten throughout.
