Thanks to funding from Sportivate, which aims to increase regular sports participation in sport for young people aged 11 to 25, we are able to offer ‘Play Table Tennis Sessions’ from 7 ’til 9pm on Tuesdays, until 16 March. It costs just £1 per session for anyone in this age group to get involved. Disabled players are particularly welcome.

Sport Development Manager and former Paralympic Table Tennis player Mark Palmer said “It’s fantastic to secure funding to offer grass roots opportunities for young people. Table tennis is a great sport, offering many benefits to players including mental alertness, improved hand eye co-ordination, a chance to meet people and enjoy the thrill of competition.”

‘Play Table Tennis sessions’ run alongside Greenbank Table Tennis Club, which is on every Tuesday from 7 to 9pm, at the Sports Academy. The Club is open to players of all ages at a charge of £3 per person.
