Table Tennis Mini League
We co-ordinate a wide range of sports activities for disabled people through the Choices Programme.
An important part of sports participation is the opportunity to play competitively, so we organises monthly mini-leagues – focusing on a different sport every month.
August’s Mini League is Table Tennis. These free sessions run every Wednesday until 31st August from 6 to 8pm and offer a great opportunity for players aged 8 and above to gain match practice.
Sport Development Manager Mark Palmer said:
“Table Tennis is a fantastic sport, with many benefits for players including improved hand-eye coordination, mental alertness, concentration and tactical strategy. It’s also a great way to meet people and socialise.
As well as the mini-league the Sports Academy is also the venue for a Table Tennis club most Tuesdays from 7 to 9pm.”
