Merseyside Schools Wheelchair Handball Tournament

Liverpool Wheelchair Handball Club organised their second tournament this academic year, for local schools, at Greenbank Sports Academy, on 9 February.
Teams from Sandfield Park (Liverpool), St Chads (Halton), Woodchurch High (Wirral) and Cavendish Schools (Halton) took part in the event, which was organised to increase interest and participation in the sport.
George Jolley, Treasurer of Liverpool Wheelchair Handball Club said “With funding from Sport England, we are able to work on an ongoing basis with local schools to give young people the opportunity to play wheelchair handball. It’s great to be able to bring the schools together and give players an opportunity to compete.”
The closely fought tournament was won by Woodchurch High School, with Cavendish School (A Team) the runners up.
