Greenbank Sports Academy provides ’school holiday activities’ for disabled children aged 8 and above, their friends and siblings. This scheme is funded by Liverpool City Council.

North Wales Dragons vs Gaelic Warriors

On 21-22 May 2011, Greenbank Sports Academy hosted Wheelchair Rugby’s Super Series 2. Teams took part from across the UK and Ireland.

The final day brought about some fantastic games. The 3rd v 4th Play off was full of end-to-end action between West Coast Crash and the Gaelic Warriors. Over four quarters the teams were within one point of each other and moved into double overtime where the Warriors clinched victory in the dying moments.

The final was cotested between London Storm and Kent Crusaders! Kent Crusaders came into the competition as the Super Series 1 champions but they couldn’t hold off the impressive Storm who clinched the crown.
