North Wales Dragons vs Gaelic Warriors

On 21-22 May 2011, Greenbank Sports Academy hosted Wheelchair Rugby’s Super Series 2. Teams took part from across the UK and Ireland.

The final day brought about some fantastic games. The 3rd v 4th Play off was full of end-to-end action between West Coast Crash and the Gaelic Warriors. Over four quarters the teams were within one point of each other and moved into double overtime where the Warriors clinched victory in the dying moments.

The final was cotested between London Storm and Kent Crusaders! Kent Crusaders came into the competition as the Super Series 1 champions but they couldn’t hold off the impressive Storm who clinched the crown.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in the Charity Art Auction that took place at Timeout Café Bar on Wednesday 9 March. We managed to raise £2,911 to help maintain regular arts based activities for disabled children.

Congratulations to Lindsey who put a tremendous amount of time and effort in to making the event the huge success that it was!

A second auction will take place later in the year (keep an eye out for more information nearer the time).

You are invited to attend our ‘Charity Art Auction’ and take home some works by local and international artists. With paintings, photography, illustrations, textiles, prints and digital art there really is something to intrigue all art lovers and collectors.

This ‘Charitable Art Auction’ is being held to raise funds to keep an after school arts programme running for disabled children. Due to government funding cuts this creative after school programme is due to finish in March 2011, unless funding can be raised.
