Wheelchair Basketball is returning to Greenbank Sports Academy in Liverpool for weekly inspire a generation community sessions

These introductory sessions welcome both disabled and non-disabled participants of all skill levels; you do not need to be a permanent wheelchair user or have prior basketball experience to play.

? What to Expect

    • Skill Development: Coaches focus on fundamentals at your own pace, covering chair movement, chair control, passing, catching, shooting, and teamwork.
    • Special Guests: The programme includes planned guest appearances from GB Paralympians, offering a unique opportunity to learn from top-tier athletes.
    • Future Outlook: Following this initial six-week block, Greenbank plans to establish a permanent, sustainable wheelchair basketball club framework, especially building momentum toward Liverpool hosting the European Wheelchair Basketball Championships in September 2027.

? About the Programme

  • What to Expect: Informal, friendly taster sessions led by trained Community Activators to help you get active, learn new skills, and meet people.
