Doing our bit for Sport Relief
Sport Relief is back once again between Saturday 17 and Friday 23 March and we’re excited to announce that we’re taking part! With the theme of ‘Whatever Moves You’ in mind, we’ve got a range of activities that everyone can get involved in to help support this fantastic event.
Activities on offer include
Greenbank Sports Academy Centres and Clubs Team Boccia Tournament
Sunday 18 March
Players will play for the Sport Relief Cup. Donations welcome.
Inflatable Obstacle Course
Monday 19 March 5.15 – 6.15pm
Targeted at Disabled participants with autism. For Sport Relief week we are opening it to friends and family.
£3 (includes optional £1 donation to Sport Relief)
Cycling
Tuesday 20 March 10-12 noon
Cycling session to give disabled people, their friends and family an opportunity to cycle together in Sefton Park. You could even wear fancy dress.

Rebound Therapy
Wednesday 21 March 5-8pm
Fun exercise session for disabled people using a trampoline. Participants can participate in a 2 minute sponsored bouncathon. Sponsorship forms available from James Dixon.

Liverpool Wheelchair Handball Club V All Stars
Wednesday 21 March 6-7pm
A fun friendly match of wheelchair handball – Just turn up to play

Wheelchair Basketball
Wednesday 21 March 7-8pm
Come and challenge Paralympic wheelchair basketball medallist Abdi Jama in a free throw contest. Signed shirt for the winner with most free throws. If scores are equal the winner will be drawn.

Multi Sports (Ages 8+)
Friday 22 March 5-6pm
Come and participate in our sports club in fancy dress.

Guess Jonnie’s Steps
How many steps do you think Paralympic sprinter Jonnie Peacock will track on the Sport Relief app in one day? Each guess costs £2 with the person who guesses the number closest to Jonnies step total is the winner. They get to keep half the cash, while the rest goes to Sport Relief to help change lives. Guesses must be made by Thursday 22 March. Call in and visit reception to add your guess.
