Greenbank Sports Academy are delivering an inclusive sport, physical activity, and employability programme for 15 NEET young people aged 18–21 who live in Liverpool or the wider Liverpool City Region. The programme is designed for young people , particularly those who have SEND, neurodivergent conditions, mental health, or other disabilities who are facing barriers to education and employment. Programme is funded via the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer Community Grant – UK Government.
Delivered from Greenbank Sports Academy (L17 1AG), a fully accessible and inclusive facility, participants will take part in structured weekly sport and fitness activities, gym access, coaching sessions, mentoring, and accredited Sports Coaching courses from January 2026. All participants will receive CIMSPA membership, access to CPD, and tailored support into workforce pathways. Eligibility
Programme Includes:
• Inclusive physical activity, gym access, and adapted sports
• Accredited National Governing Body qualifications
• 1:1 mentoring and personalised support
• Confidence-building and employability workshops
• Work placements with Liverpool employer’s
• Sector insight from Paralympic role models, disability-led consultants, UK Coaching and CIMSPA
• A 3-month gym membership extension on completion of Programme
This programme provides a supportive and motivating environment where participants gain qualifications, develop confidence through physical activity, improve wellbeing, and can move into meaningful education, training, or work.
