Lord’s Taverners Table Cricket Tournament
It was great to welcome 25 children from Sandfield Park School, Crosby High School and Woodchurch High School on Thursday 11th February 2016 to compete in the Lord Taverners Table Cricket Tournament.
Mr Gairn from Crosby High School commented:
“Some of our children don’t get to take part in sports outside of school because of their individual needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to get involved.”
Rob Tipping, Disability Cricket Development Officer, with the Lancashire Cricket Board added:
“Events like this offer a great opportunity for children to try the game. Following on from today’s event, the 3 schools will progress to the County Final; playing against Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
The whole experience is life enhancing and fully inclusive.”
The children also had the opportunity to play Power Hockey, Wheelchair Basketball and Indoor Athletics, at the event.
