Merseyside Ability Counts Girls Under 16 League
Greenbank Sports Academy hosted the first of four fixtures of the 2016/17 Merseyside Ability Counts Girls Under 16 League on Monday 3rd October.
Mark Horlick, LCFA Disability Football Development Officer said:
“The purpose of the league is to introduce football as a fun activity for disabled girls. Hopefully, as a result of competing in the league, they will want to continue to play out of school hours.”
The League has attracted seven teams representing five Merseyside Schools; Alt Bridge, Childwall Abbey, Crosby High, Clare Mount and Woodchurch High.
The first fixture was a great success and the league is currently topped by Alt Bridge A, who won all 5 games and stand 5 points clear of nearest rival Childwall Abbey, with 15 points.
