Nine teams from across Merseyside took part in the first league date of the new season’s 6-a-side Football Tournament, held at Greenbank Sports Academy on 26^th September.

Results were used to decide which division each team should play in.

Mark Horlick, LCFA Disability Football Development Officer explained:

“It’s really important that all players get the opportunity to develop their skills and this is best achieved by matching the footballing ability of the teams.”

Divisions were agreed as:

Division 1 – Sandfield Park A, Broadgreen and Sandfield Park B

Division 2 – Merefield, St Helens and Sandfield Park C

Division 3 – Woodchurch High, Sandfield Park D and Sandfield Park E

The next league date will take place on Friday 27th January 2017 at Greenbank Sports Academy.
