Over 40 children from Crosby High School (A & B teams); Alt Bridge School (A & B teams); West Kirby Residential School and Clare Mount Specialist Sports College took part in the Merseyside Schools KS4 Basketball Tournament held at Greenbank Sports Academy on Monday 21st March 2016.

3 evenly contested finals took place at the end of the group stages. In the Novices Final Alt Bridge B beat Crosby High B 6 v 0. For the Intermediates Alt Bridge A beat West Kirby Residential 4 v 2 and in the Advanced Final Crosby High beat Clare Mount 2 v 0.

David Gairn, Crosby High PE Teacher commented:

“Basketball is a big part of our PE programme at Crosby High. We’ve been training every Monday since September preparing for this tournament and all their hard work has paid off.”
