Merseyside Schools PD / SLD Football Tournament 2015/16
On 29th January 2016, we welcomed more than fifty young people representing teams that play in the Physical Disability (PD) League (Sandfield Park A, B, C, D teams and Broadgreen) and those that play in the Severe Learning Disability (SLD) League (Cavendish High, Sandfield Park E and Merefield), to the second of three fixture dates of the 2015/16 tournament.
At the close of play Sandfield Park A, topped the PD League with twenty two points, remaining unbeaten after eight games and three points clear of Broadgreen.
The SLD League is led by Cavendish High, equal on points with Sandfield Park E, but leading on goal difference.
Sport Development Officer Steve Sullivan said
“It’s so important that disabled people can play sport at their own level competitively. This tournament offers a great opportunity for disabled football players to do just that.”
The next fixture will be played on Monday 25th April.
