Seven teams from four Merseyside Schools; Alt Bridge, Lansbury Bridge, Sandfield Park and Woodchurch High, took part in the Merseyside Schools Wheelchair Handball Tournament at Greenbank Sports Academy on 27^th March.

Teams were split into groups and play ended with two closely contested finals.

In Group A Sandfield Park beat Alt Bridge 1 – 0 and in Group B Alt Bridge beat Sandfield Park 2 – 0.

Organiser Steve Sullivan said:

“For some of the children, it was their first experience of playing wheelchair handball and it was great to see how much the standard of play improved as the tournament progressed.”
