Merseyside Wheelchair Handball Tournament

Claremont Team B receive their medals

More than 50 young people from four schools across Merseyside took part in the Merseyside Wheelchair Handball tournament at Greenbank Sports Academy on 18th April 2016.

Organiser Steve Sullivan said:

“Some excellent skills were on show throughout the day resulting in some evenly matched teams getting through to all three finals.

We had support from volunteers and staff from Greenbank College, alongside individual volunteers who ensured the day was professionally run and provided some great competition between the schools.

Many thanks to Liverpool Wheelchair Handball Club for providing lunch for the children and officiating at the event.”

In the Novice Final Woodchurch High School beat Sandfield Park School (B) 3 vs 0, Clare Mount School (B) won the Intermediate Final with a score of 3 vs 2 against Sandfield Park School (A) and Clare Mount School (A) beat St Chads School by 4 vs 2.
