Congratulations to the Sports Academy’s Choices for Disability Sport Programme staff for winning the 2015 Sports Team Award at the Pride of Merseyside Awards, held on 4^th September.

The Echo Pride of Merseyside Awards provide recognition for ‘special people, doing special things’ nominated by the local community and is run by Trinity Mirror.

Sport Development Manager Mark Palmer said:

“The team are delighted to receive the award for doing something that we all love – increasing sporting opportunities for disabled people.

This Award helps to boost our profile and spread the word about what we do, so hopefully more disabled people will come along to our sessions and get involved.
