Greenbank Sports Academy was delighted to welcome more than sixty five competitors to its annual Boccia Tournament on 4^th October. Players travelled from across the country to take part in an excellent event.

Organiser Steve Sullivan commented:

“The standard of play has improved again this year which is testament to the hard work of players, coaches and support staff in preparing for the event and encouraging fair play throughout the day.

I like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to volunteers and referees who did an excellent job to help the tournament run smoothly and professionally. This is so important when we have such a high standard of players.”

He added:

“Boccia is a priority development sport at the Academy and as such we are introducing another team event for disabled players only. The 2016 Boccia Tournament will take place on Sunday 24^th January and the closing date for entries is 8^th January. ”
