New Season gets underway for Merseyside Ability Counts League

Five teams representing Sandfield Park School plus teams from Broadgreen International School, Cavendish High and Merefield kicked off the 2015/16 season of the Merseyside Ability Counts League at Greenbank Sports Academy on 25th September.

The teams, which play in two of the Ability Counts Leagues; Secondary Physical Disability, Secondary Severely Learning Disability (SLD) had a fantastic day of friendly competition.

At the end of the first fixtures Sandfield Park A top the PD League, taking maximum points from four games and Cavendish High lead the SLD League, just above Sandfield Park E on goal difference.

Mark Horlick, LCFA Disability Football Development Officer said:

“The atmosphere here has been great – all those involved have had a fantastic time. It’s so important that everyone has an opportunity to experience competition at their level and enjoy the camaraderie of team sport.”

 

The next league games are due to be played at the Academy on Friday 29th January 2016.
