Approximately forty children from four schools across Merseyside competed in the Merseyside Schools Wheelchair Basketball tournament held at Greenbank Sports Academy on 27^th November 2017.

For some of the children, this was their first experience of wheelchair sports, meaning there was a massive improvement in the standard of play, as the day progressed.

The Group 1 final saw Alt Bridge A beating their schoolmates, Alt Bridge B 6 v 2 and in Group 2 Woodchurch High B beat Palmerston 6 V 0.

Event organiser Steve Sullivan said:
