North West Disability Sport Regional Games Success

People taking part in the North West Disability Sport Games

The NW Disability Sport Regional Games (NWDSRG) took place at Greenbank Sports Academy this weekend, attracting participants from across the region and beyond (including Derby, Leicester Conway and Swansea).

Events at the NWDSRG, funded by St James’s Place Foundation and part of the wider Choices for Disability Sports Programme included Wheelchair and Standing Table Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Handball and Boccia.

Organiser Steve Hoskins said “The Games achieved their aim of bringing together disabled people from across the region to play competitively and have fun. Access to this sort of event is vital to raise standards in disability sport. Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks to all those involved in making the event a success”.
