The Centres and Clubs Team Boccia Tournament took place at Greenbank Sports Academy on Monday 18 May with eight teams representing Cambridge Road, Oakenholt ATC, Bewley Activity Base and Wirral Bidston Bullets taking part.
Congratulations to all of the competitors who displayed a high standard of play, culminating in an excellent final between two evenly matched teams, Cambridge Road (A) and Oakenholt ATC (C). It took a tie break to decide the winner when the score finished 4 – 4 after 6 ends. Cambridge Road A came out as the eventual champions.
Official John Cole said: “There were some great players here today so well done to everyone who took part. It was a very close final with only one ball in it!”
Organiser Steve Sullivan added:
“Thanks to Resource Centre and Club staff for their commitment to training the competitors to such a high standard and to Greenbank College sports coaching students for their professionalism when refereeing matches.”
